The Original Scuba Diver T-Shirt

the north fork of Eastern Long Island,NY was completed in 1878. The project engineer-
Francis HopkinsonSmith (who designed the base for the Statue of Liberty) - wrote a best selling
book in 1898 -Caleb West: Master Diver- on the monumental construction effort. Caleb West
operated the then new technology of dry suit (scuba) diving.
The left vignette features the glow of the lighthouse; the right divers at
work. The portrait in the center we assume is Caleb West after one too many dives!
I found the book at a antique book store in
Portsmouth,NH for $5....let me tell you, it is as boring as they come...
....but the label looks like Albert Einstein after a
